Emigrant Ships

Earl of Eglinton 

The Earl of Eglinton was a wooden ship of 1275 tons, built at Troon, Scotland, in 1854 and registered at Glasgow which was wrecked on her fourth voyage at St Margarets in 1860.  At the time she was built, the Earl of Eglinton was the largest wooden vessel to have been built in Scotland.
